Stationery Design Mockup Free Download: 19 PSD Files
A stationery design mockup free download is the quickest way to show a client how a brand will look on real letterheads, envelopes and business cards. A flat file rarely sells an identity, but a photo-style scene does, and it takes minutes once you have the right file.
Below are 19 free stationery mockups in PSD format, grouped by style. Each entry lists the file format, size, licence and a link to the download page. None of them repeats the sets in our 35 free stationery mockups, so you can browse both lists.
How to choose a stationery mockup
- Format: PSD files with smart objects give the most realistic result. Photopea opens them for free in the browser if you do not have Photoshop.
- Resolution: 4000 px on the long side is plenty for a case study. Go larger if you plan to crop in or print the presentation.
- Contents: check that the scene has the pieces your client needs, such as a letterhead, an envelope and a business card, not just one of them.
- Background: most files let you change the colour or add a texture, so the scene can match the brand.
- Licence: many free files allow commercial use, some ask for a free account or a credit, and a few say nothing. Read the download page before you use a mockup in paid work.
The common traps are a mockup whose colours fight the brand, a scene so busy that the stationery gets lost, and a low-resolution file that looks soft once the client opens it full screen. Pick a calm scene unless the brand itself is loud.

Tips for using a stationery mockup
- Design the real items first. Build the letterhead, envelope and business card at their true sizes, then place them in the mockup. A cropped or stretched layout shows straight away.
- Double-click the smart object. Paste your artwork, save and close, and the shadows and perspective update on their own.
- Match the scene to the brand. Dark slate suits a premium identity, kraft and wood suit craft brands, and clean grey suits tech. Our guide to visual brand identity explains what the elements should say.
- Check the print details. Bleed, paper weight and colour mode affect how the real stationery turns out. See what to consider for high-quality prints.
- Show more than one view. One flat scene and one angled scene give a client a better feel for the system than a single image.

Frequently asked questions
What is a stationery design mockup?
It is a ready-made scene, usually a Photoshop file, that shows letterheads, envelopes, business cards and other office items in a realistic setting. You drop your design into the smart object layers and the scene does the lighting and perspective for you.
Can I use free stationery mockups for client work?
Usually yes, if the licence allows commercial use. Do not resell the mockup file itself, and keep any credit the author asks for. Where a page does not state a licence, check with the author first.
Do I need Photoshop to edit a stationery mockup?
No. Photopea opens PSD files and smart objects in the browser for free, and some libraries, such as Mockups Design, also offer an online editor.
What resolution should a stationery mockup be?
Look for at least 3000 px on the long side for screen presentations and 300 dpi if you plan to print the result. Larger files give you room to crop in on a business card.
